Penguin Random House UK has held a large redesign of its online subsidiary for the first time since 2013, when two large publishers have joined. The new design is aimed at strengthening branded narratives in a market environment, which is controlled by online sets, such as Amazon. The main goal is to develop relationships with readers of the company.

The PRH sites were divided into B2C consumer site and B2B Corporate site, which were developed by Clearleft design companies from Brighton and London developers - Cognifide. 🚀

In a study, which took part in up to 3,000 clients, including 200 personal conversations, the PRH came to the conclusion that the main purpose of readers who visit the site is "approaching your favorite authors and characters."

  • 📌 The new consumer site focuses on quality content.
  • 📌 There are writers' profiles such as Nick Gornby and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
  • 📌 Interactive materials such as interview podcasts are available on the site.
  • 📌 The site is fully adaptive, especially on mobile devices.
🧩 Summary: Despite the problems with navigation and some other UX questions, the new design of Penguin Random House UK reflects the importance of quality content and focuses on attracting readers.
🧠 Own considerations: Redysin of the PRH site shows that in the world, which is increasingly focused on online trade, it is important to remain competitive, focusing on interaction with readers and constant improvement of UX.
