Parse charges of a complex process of refusing WP Engine Services

It all started with the fact that one of the Reddit users posted a post that he tried to cancel his account at WP Engine on December 6. What was a surprise for him, WP Engine requires 30 days for a previous cancellation notification. Disappointed with this, the user appealed to the support service, where he was promised that he would not be charged, despite the fact that he did not follow the 30 days.

"On December 6, I canceled my Wpengine service, which I had since 2015. Canceled on January 3.

🚀 However, a few hours after posting Reddit on WP Engine problems, the user updated his post, noting that WP Engine had returned money to him.

"Update: WP Engine Support has contacted me, canceled account today and initiated a refund that will last up to 10 working days."

Mulenweg, a WordPress co -founder, used this case to criticize WP Engine, comparing them with a "dishonest gym". He also noted that WordPress.com cancellation policy is more flexible.

"WordPress philosophy - to make a simple way, so people would like to stay more. Give freedom and choice."

🚀 However, in fact, the cancellation policy of WordPress.com also requires a 30-day previous message:

"You must cancel at least one month before the scheduled date of end of any annual subscription ..."
