WIX dispute against WordPress: Analysis of the situation


The beginning of the conflict was that WIX tried to attract the attention of influential people from WordPress, giving them expensive headphones. Then Wix created a series of advertising that tried to draw WordPress in a negative light instead of promoting their own product.
WIX also made an attempt to create a viral video where a character depicting WordPress releases a "secret" message with a warning about "fake news". All this was aimed at showing WordPress as too outdated and not fashionable.
