Expanded struggle for internet neutrality: an example of France

The article tells about the rapid development of the Internet over the last two decades and how legislators are trying to adapt to this sharp technological jump that can be compared to the industrial revolution. In particular, the attention is emphasized on the network neutrality, which is relevant today.
🚀 An interesting point in the article is to consider France's efforts to protect the internet neutrality. French Digital Economy Minister Fleer Pellerren has adopted a report of the French National Digital Council, which recommends consolidating the principle of network neutrality in legislation.
- 📌 Network neutrality is a principle by which all data is processed equally, regardless of their importance.
- 📌 The threat of network neutrality is that infrastructure providers can offer a system with several levels in which the most important content will be considered a premium Internet.
- 📌 French proposals are built on the basic principles of the Internet, which oppose any discrimination of the sender or recipient, regardless of which data are transmitted.
💡 Internet neutrality is already part of national legislation in Chile, the Netherlands and Slovenia, a voluntary system has been established in Norway. If these proposals are enshrined in the legislation of France, it will have far -reaching consequences for anyone who works in a digital economy.
