The Verge website has undergone a redesign at the beginning of the New Year. The previous version included some images, but the new design provides more than a simple visual update.
A completely new design system called "Pathways" was introduced. This system, like many other modern design systems, is designed to be used on a website, in a video motion schedule and even in print design. 🚀
The rest of the radial includes significant investments in the photo. Already have passed those days when it was enough to put gradients on the average stock photo. 💡
- 📌 Significant performance improvement
- 📌 Small changes in the logo to "clean it"
- 📌 Complete Back end rethinking of VOX MEDIIA, CHORUS Content Management System
- 📌 Many less changes and updates ... Total.
The main question is why they have reworked the site in general and did the redesign reach their goal? According to the new mission, it is planned to increase the focus on writing about technologies and how they form the future. ⚡
The new design resembles the style of science fiction of the 80's, mainly full of hope. Of course, or it awakens painful memories of neon. However, it looks good and works efficiently. Now it all depends on the content. 🧩
