The design is focused on a person through AI-supported usability tests: reality or fiction?

The article analyzes the use of artificial intelligence to maintain unmanaged users' tests. Artificial intelligence can act as a moderator who dynamically asks additional questions based on the answers of the participants. The author considers the meaning of context when creating appropriate additional questions, as well as AI, which asks additional questions, must be tested.
🚀 Unmanaged usability testing is becoming more and more popular thanks to UX research. This enables the participants to be tested at their own pace and in their convenience, which has several advantages. However, the rejection of moderators also has its disadvantages.
💡 Traditional unmanaged research does not have such flexibility. Participants receive a fixed set of instructions for tasks. After performing, they can fill in a static questionnaire, and that's it. The reviews received by a team of researchers and designers are completely dependent on the information that participants provide on their own.
- 📌 Artificial intelligence can help in uncontrollable testing.
- 📌 AI use may have its risks and challenges.
- 📌 The correct formulation of questions and instructions is required.
