Consumers easily detect content created by artificial intelligence

The article illuminates the results of two studies that have found that most consumers easily discover content created by artificial intelligence. The first study by Digital Marketing Consultant, Joe Yangball, showed that consumers in the United States correctly identified the AI, 71.63% of cases when they were shown real photos along with AI versions.
The second study conducted by Hookline &, swept 1,000 Americans and revealed a similar level of skepticism for content written by AI. The main conclusions include that 82.1% of respondents can reveal content written AI, at least from time to time, and among those who are 22-34, this figure increases to 88.4%.
📌 Both studies indicate the risks of using AI in content. For example, if consumers determine that AI image is bad, they can blame your brand/product/service. It was also found that 50.1% of respondents will think worse about writers who use AI, and 40.4% will look at brands more negatively if they use content created by AI.
🚀 However, despite caution, both studies indicate that some AI use is acceptable to consumers. In particular, many respondents approved the use of AI to generate ideas (53.7%), research (55.8%), content editing (50.8%) and data analysis (50.1%).
- 📌 Be transparent: since many consumers can find content created by AI, honesty about its use can help with further maintaining trust.
- 📌 Focus on quality: both studies indicate that authentic, professionally created content is perceived as a more reliable one.
- 📌 Use AI wisely: save AI for tasks that relate to research and editing, but let people make creative decisions.
- 📌 Know your audience: younger consumers may be more acceptable about AI than older groups. Adjust your strategy accordingly.
