EC confirms Google's violation in relation to Digital Markets Act

The European Commission has stated that Google violates Digital Markets ACT in two main areas that affect digital marketers and applications.
Despite changes in Google algorithms in the last year, EU regulators are not satisfied. They claim that Google continues to give preferences to their verticals such as Google Shopping, Hotels, Flights and other specialized results.
The commission accused Google of reflecting its services "at the top of Google search or specialized places, with improved visual formats and filtration mechanisms" that are not used by third parties.
🚀 In a separate conclusion, the Commission states that Google Play does not allow applications to freely direct users to alternative channels to obtain better offers or direct purchases.
- 📌 More visible location of comparative sites in tourist, trade and financial verticals
- 📌 Reduction of visual accent on Google services
- 📌 Potentially more organic visibility for business that is now competing with the selected Google items
